Event Policies

Accessibility

Accessible parking and seating available with valid ADA placard.

Bag Policy

Bags must be 8"x12"x12" or smaller. No backpacks. All bags are subject to search.

Prohibited Items

No outside food or drinks, coolers, alcohol, weapons, fireworks, illegal substances, laser pointers, lawn/folding chairs, or professional cameras.

Cameras

Personal cameras without detachable lenses are allowed (unless restricted by the performer). No video or audio recording.

Seating

The amphitheater has stadium style seating. Lawn/folding chairs are NOT permitted. Blankets and seat cushions are welcome.

Re-Entry

No re-entry for ticketed events.

Service Animals

Only ADA-trained service animals are permitted. Pets and emotional support animals are not allowed.

Smoking

Icehouse Amphitheater is a smoke-free venue, including vaping and e-cigarettes. There is a designated smoking area on site.

Parking

Limited parking is available on site. Additional public parking is available at nearby Town Hall and County building lots (after 5pm M-F), Virginia Hylton Park, and on Main Street and surrounding streets.

Tailgating

Tailgating is allowed in designated areas. No alcohol consumption or open flames/grills permitted in parking lots.

Line / Queue Policy

Guests must follow posted signage and staff instructions in lines. Cutting, saving spots, or blocking walkways is not permitted.

Media Release

By entering, guests consent to being photographed or filmed for Town of Lexington promotional use.

Lost and Found

Icehouse Amphitheater is not responsible for lost, stolen, or unattended items. Items turned in will be held by staff for 7 days and may be picked up during business hours at Town Hall (M-F, 8am-5pm).

Tickets / Refunds

All ticket sales are final. Refunds are only offered if an event is canceled or rescheduled. Once an event has begun, weather-related cancellations are not eligible for refunds.

Weather

All events are rain or shine. In severe weather conditions, follow instructions from event staff.

Soliciting

Soliciting, distributing promotional materials, or conducting business on the premises without prior written approval from the Town of Lexington is strictly prohibited. This includes, but is not limited to: selling goods or services, handing out flyers or brochures and approaching guests for donations or signatures.

Vending & On Site Sales

Vending at Icehouse Amphitheater is only permitted with prior approval from the Town of Lexington Event Supervisor. This includes: food vendors, merchandise sellers, informational booths, and any individual or business offering goods or services on site.

Unauthorized vending is not allowed and individuals may be asked to leave the premises.

Our team receives a high volume of messages, especially during event weeks, and responses may be delayed. We will reply as soon as possible.

For urgent event day needs, please speak directly with event staff on site. Complaints related to safety, security, or guest conduct should be reported immediately to event staff or the Lexington Police Department officers on duty.

Busking & Unscheduled Performances

Busking, street performing, or providing any form of unscheduled entertainment on the Icehouse Amphitheater grounds - or within entrance areas, walkways, parking lots, or surrounding public spaces - during events, is not permitted without prior approval from the Town of Lexington Event Supervisor.

This includes, but is not limited to:

  • Live music or singing
  • Instrumental performances
  • Dance, acrobatics, or theatrical acts
  • Spoken word, comedy, or amplified sound
  • Tip-based performances of any kind

Approved performers must follow all venue guidelines, remain in their assigned space, and adhere to volume and safety requirements.

Enforcement Notice

Failure to follow Icehouse Amphitheater policies may result in removal from the venue without refund. Guests who refuse to comply with safety instructions, attempt to bring in prohibited items, or engage in disruptive behavior may be escorted out by event staff.

The Lexington Police Department partners with the venue for all events. Illegal activity, disorderly conduct, or refusal to leave when instructed may result in involvement from law enforcement.
